apply to be a sbs practitioner fellow

Looking to build your Story-Based Strategy (SBS) chops and build community with other SBS Practitioners? If so, read on! As a member of the 2019 SBS Practitioner Fellowship you’ll get:

Applied Practice

The primary purpose of the Fellowship is to give you (AT alumni) time, space, and support to deepen your SBS chops. Over the course of two months, you’ll develop an intervention that supports you, your work, and/or your community/ies and then deploy it!

Support

You’ll be along for the ride with all the other Fellows as you each develop your projects. You’ll have each other’s support as well as support from CSS staff.

Money

As a Fellow, you’ll be paid $2,000: $1,500 for the project and your time and $500 is for the production of the case study.

Movement Magnetism

This year’s theme: Movement Magnetism

“The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.” — Toni Cade Bambara

We believe that our role as story-based strategists is to the make the road towards justice, irresistible. What kinds of ideas do our movements need in this moment? Are there moments from the past we can draw inspiration from? Or what will we catalyze that will benefit future generation(s) of movement leaders to come? For this fellowship, we are looking for creative interventions and projects that will make all of our movement-work irresistible: past, present, and future!
